The Soul of America is being renewed under 46th US President @potus @joebiden and the signposts are in @latimes’ article calling for a Department of Culture, much like “England, France, Germany, Albania and more than 50 other countries that count themselves civilized,” Mark Swed, a music critic wrote, which I totally agree with.

During this 2020 -2021 pandemic, the hardest hit were artists, singers, performers, yet we saw yesterday the power of Poet Laureate Amanda Gorman who exhorted us to bravely be the light.

America, we must be the light, be morally aligned within ourselves, to embrace the light of songs, poems, plays, theater, films, videos, cds, spotify, livestreaming movies and series like South Korea and see the power of culture enjoyed by billions and love fiercely our families, as 46th President does with his wife, daughter, son and grandchildren.

Long after the guns are used, bodies smashed, violence triggered, our culture of death results in darkness, division, fractured nation, battered souls, broken limbs, and tortured psyches.

Time to heal, America as #JoeBiden exhorts us. Remember our lost ones, love our families, neighbors, serve our communities, and reach out more to build connections.

I am more at peace with 46th US President in charge and I slept so much better. Thank you America for coming out in droves, nearly 82 million that voted for Joe Biden, and a total of 155 million in the 2020 elections. We are all guardians of this American democracy and we are all called to support this experiment called America!

My reads for this month are Pope Francis’ Let Us Dream, Barack Obama’s A Promised Land, Jon Meacham’s The Soul of America, Doris Kearns Goodwin’s Team of Rivals, The Patriot’s Handbook, Pete Buttigieg’s Trust, Jon Meacham’s His Truth is Marching On.

A special thank you to now promoted Deputy Eugene Goodman, Capitol Security – a man of courage, who diverted the insurgents to protect House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and other legislators.
