My daughter and granddaughter were helping me dump pantry stuff, spices and more. One bag was marked 2015, to which #princess2015la remarked: “Grandma, that was when I was born.” We laughed.
Then a miso soup marked 2007, “Grandma, that was before I was born. I was not made yet.”
We all chuckled and became more clinical in discarding. Even workfiles.
I found a very meaningful program and card. It got me teary-eyed. I said to my daughter:” You are erasing my decades long existence.” She responded quickly, “Mom, you have done your public service and you have done it well. It stays as memories.”
I still retained these. These pictures are making me cry these days.
