Will you walk with me?
“I already walked you to the altar. I am not planning on doing it again,” hubby responded.
I laughed so hard, this was quite early in the morning, after our simple breakfast of valrhona chocolate oatmeal with dried cranberries, pine nuts, and fresh blueberries and instant Starbucks coffee. So good!
I read about someone seeing a bear, while walking the Grinnell trail. I asked hubby what I should do if I meet a bear? He said, “Why be afraid? Bears will like you. Stay still, act confidently, but beware if you see a cub as the Mama Bear is just nearby as she is more protective.”
Yes, protective, that’s how we should be about Mother Nature. Here at Many Glaciers, at the lake trail, you walk a few feet, you stop, and you take as photo. You marvel at God’s creations. You also see a biy of the glaciers and you pray for more rains to keep the glaciers and added another prayer for drought to end in the Western States: California, Oregon and even Washington.
I met a young photographer, Major from Kentucky, who took my photo in front of Mt. Grinnell. We talked about celebrating anniversaries. He took his wife to this place for their 10th wedding anniversary; I told him I will be celebrating mine in Jan. 2022, my 43rd wedding anniversary.
He described how he has been exposed to herding cattle since he was young and how he loved the outdoors. “Outdoors is in your dna,” I said.
As outdoors is in his DNA, so is my hubby. He is his happiest walking trails, staying in the wild, this time our trail took us to evergreen pine cone trees.
Two hours for me was more than enough, but he wants a more extended walk. “Did you bring your water bottle?” With that, I bid goodbye to my man who loves the wild. I walked back to the hotel. He will walk a longer trail and linger longer.
