To my children as well, written words and love inscribed in your hearts as memories of imperfect care, yet well intentioned with the highest quality standards of parenting that I knew then.

Forgive me for my mistakes as I took care of you, my profession, my community, founded and helped lead organizations of survival, support, struggle, and grace. This, I achieved with a supportive teammate, my spouse, your caring dad and a superlolo who played with and took care of E and R. And we got to explore over 30 national and state parks and countries like Japan, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Mexico, Jerusalem, and France.
