The community of folks bound by art, music, and good friendship, who came together to celebrate the 75th birthday of Andy Tecson (Part II of II)
Hubby, 78yo and I, 69yo have attended hundreds to perhaps thousands of community events from church concerts, to community center’s events, to university’s Royce Hall to CSUN’s Soraya Center to the Aratani theater, to Ford Amphitheater, Hollywood Bowl, and Disney Hall. So, his first comment was, “I don’t need to suffer mediocrity.”
Tonight, it was not mediocrity, it was pure love and everyone gave their best efforts. Check out the beautiful, soul-uplifting duet of @peteavendano and @sharon rose – it took me to heaven’s zone of making me cry and just feeling grateful – see prior IG post.
I loved hearing all these masterful singers, Pete and Sharon, including @Erwin Andaya, @Gelo Francisco and many more. Thank you @Andy for inviting us. It was a beautiful celebration of 75 years of living a beautiful life!

Tonight, Andy Tecson’s life of 75 years is a celebration of a beautiful community coming together, of generous artists who carved out time from their hectic schedules, as his family of artists, to his grandchildren playing music, of friends wanting to celebrate his enduring warmth and friendship and the celebrant, Andy, the violinist, playing music to us all!
I celebrate and salute you Andy Tecson!! Your birthday celebration transformed many hearts to feel as one!! Thank you @Fr Rodel for the use of @Incarnation Church.
