What do you make of the golden glow around my in laws Enrique Sr and Felisa Buado Delacruz? I saw it, but hubby did not. You have to believe in God and the Holy Spirit to see this manifested, as others will certainly doubt.
My photographer hubby explains the light reflections, but there are none. After a few seconds, the golden glow disappeared. Also, only the silhouettes were illuminated, not the rest of the photo.
I told my hubby that his parents are pleased with me for loving him passionately after 44 years living together and 42 years married in few more days, Jan.4, 2021. Hubby said they are happy together as they even celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary and stayed together alive, for another decade.
Today, hubby and I will drive again in search of more Christmas lights, this time in Pasadena. Can you please recommend streets?
Our mini date tonight was unglamorous, though hubby had donned his hat and I had my pink down vest and a red sweatshirt for Christmas ambiance.
We drove the ‘hood’ looking for bedecked homes with lights and of course, to Beverly Hills.
We were disappointed. The decorations were “unimaginative” and quite dampened by struggling city budgets. We even saw a go fund me for Music Hall and upscale restaurants with big banners “To Go,” meaning you can order meals to take home, to go and $5 parking after 6pm to entice folks to come.
The best decor we found was a mannequin decorated inside a house and a tall Christmas tree near Tiffany’s in Rodeo Drive.
On a brighter note, the warm hearted efforts and thoughtful generosities of friends, all are surprises, as they would text and then, show up with lots of goodies like the Oriel sisters with the most delicious panettone, cookies and a bouquet of beautiful sunflowers. They bring me good karma, and the whole week was just one surprise after another.
From Ruben V. Nepales comes the largest coffee table book, handdelivered as a purchased copy. It is outstanding and worthy to be passed down to your descendants as a compendium of life lessons on humanity, struggle, care for the environment. It was well curated by publisher Bessie Badilla and a very sweet loving foreword from Ruben’s own tweet, Janet Susan Rodriguez Nepales, plus more goodies of cups, chocolates and books enough to warm your inner heart and soul this winter.
From my thoughtful friend, Lu Sobredo, a novelist who has finished her manuscript during this pandemic, comes this beautiful light tangerine scarf that my precious granddaughter enjoyed dressing me up with. To my granddaughter, her language of love is play.
Lu gave me a peek of one chapter and the dialogue is intriguing and oozing in love.
Last night, my favorite beautiful daughter brought us dinner and as she was exiting, our doorbell rang. Xtine McLalad, a fellow club member of fans of Koreanovelas, a fellow foodie, got us a box of the most delicious kiwis, as sweet as she is, 4 yellow mochi with red beans and nuts and ingredients to make jajangmae.
From JP Liban a Purdue bear that my granddaughter loves to hug.
Today, I got two liquid golds – Carol Ojeda-Kimbrough’s calamansi vinegar and garlic in oil plus two cherimoyas and a passion fruit from Ani Rodriguez-Villero garden. Sweet people, sweet fruits, sweet products, too!
My dear dear friends – you have been mighty generous to me! I feel like you are creating my heaven on earth and your love keeps me warm though the Coronavirus scares the hell out of us, especially with 2 folks dying every hour in Los Angeles County.
My #princess2015la asked me if my mom or dad played with me when I was little. I could not remember they did. My granddaughter felt bad and asked me, ” Did you teach them to play with you, Grandma?” I was truthful and said, “No, I did not.” She got silent. I got silent too but the lesson was not lost on me, for her the language of love is play.
Parents and grandparents – play with your loved ones as play = love!
You cannot just file a lawsuit just because you want to. You must have legal standing to begin with. They had zero legal standing and had no proof of fraud to justify asking for the court to get what they want.
They were grandstanding, as over 100 new GOP legislators, which includes these from California: Rep. Tom McClintock, Rep. Kevin McCarthy, Rep. Ken Calvert, Rep. Doug LaMalfa. Remember them – they are uncritical loyalists to the party, rather th AZ n the common good of America.
This is the Republicans’ last-ditch attempt to undermine the presidential elections wherein over 154 million voted and gave Biden 81,283,009 votes, 51.4% over Trump’s 74,223,287 votes, 46.9%. Biden has 306 electoral votes while Trump has 232 votes.

#princess2015la‘s homework was to write about composting. She did not enjoy the composting process for some reason. She took at least 3 breaks – I gave her the chair, she sat down to eat nata de coco with her milk plus lychees. But, still she followed directions and did something extra – she watered the plants. Then, she wrote:”I did not like composting.” We laughed, as she did reveal her feelings about the project while doing the steps of the process: small leaves first, soil, big leaves, soil, more leaves then water the pail. Love how she took care of herself by taking breaks as she did not like the project.
We walked holding hands as she shared her observations about people, flowers, decorations and squirrels. #princess2015la is such a beautiful radiant being!
Today, we walked a few steps and noticed Bonnie’s house has the best decorations. She wanted to make sure when she stepped on the lawn, she is not killing the plants or flowers. What a thoughtful young girl.
Then, the bell rang and @ana_burog delivered 4 boxes of @max.and.lucys ensaymadas for my neighbors.
And from Ana, I got the most beautiful barong mask that goes well over an N95 mask. Yehey!! Thank you, Ana, we love you so much!
