Back from Hibernation

I worked today to do interviews, after 8 months of hibernation. I kept my mask on, without letting my guard down.

What made it enjoyable and inspiring was to see a new business with good production practices but also, treats their partners in production and distribution as family members, harvesting God’s bountiful grace.

It is so beautiful to witness their growth, that loaves multiply when the business was established with good intentions as decisions are being made to benefit everyone!

It is also true that our community is so helpful, and other small businesses are open to sharing what works for them.

Though tired, I felt inspired. Hubby made a beautiful tasty salad to go with steamed lobsters. Yummy. Dessert was yummy too.

This pandemic is bringing out the best in our community!

It is Sunrise

Trump does not understand finality. He has eluded accountability through bankruptcies and evaded eviction from his Trump tower by borrowing multimillion dollars. He is now going to be exposed to a forcible eviction unless he graciously and with dignity, accept he cannot make up the 4 million more votes margin of Biden, and peacefully leave the White House.

As of 618 am, Nov. 6, 2020, Joe Biden will soon end up with AZ of 11 electoral college votes, PA of 20 electoral votes, NV of 6 electoral votes and GA of 16 electoral votes for a total of 306 electoral college votes.

It happened at this historic moment for us to see a convergence of blue leads in four battleground states just as the sun is breaking to illuminate the skies, a very metaphorical symbol of coming out of darkness under Trump.

Voters voted regardless of the dangers posed by Coronavirus to recapture their country from the abyss of darkness of racism, bigotry, sexism, and corruption of using a position of public service as a source of private gains.

The pathway towards the Presidency has been shut down for Trump, coinciding with the breaking of light today, it is sunrise!

The first team in a century to garner the highest votes of over 73,681,818 and may even tip it above 74 million with a historic turnout of close to 160 million Americans to vote here in the USA and worldwide, where Americans reside.

Historical poetry is America’s statement to the world, wherein black women deliver the leadership of the White House to a white male and install a black/ Asian woman as his VP.

History will be ours to make and to celebrate in America.

Guide to voters

The working conditions you find now are less harsher than before because of the labor unions who cared for their members, not just money dues.

The paved roads you travel in today are because we had caring, concerned and honest politicians, not the greedy, corrupt, corruptible and bribes-tempted politicians that some cities, states and the White House that we have now.

The relative ease of your life because of labor laws passed were due to the sacrifices of prior civil rights leaders and activists who supported freedoms for all, not just for those who terrorize with guns and violence and the mega rich who have resources to fly to an island just because they cannot stand being at home due to the Coronavirus. Think of the Amazon delivery guy, the FedEx guy, the grocery delivery workers, the nurses, the doctors, the bus drivers who are so essential they cannot even have a lunch break. Vote for the 98%.

Vote not thinking about preserving your dollars in your pocket as you did not come nor live in America just to make it your ATM, but to provide a better place to live in for your spouse, partner, children and grandchildren. Vote to invest in their future not for more dollars and pennies to hoard in your bank book. How measly your life would be to put simply a price tag of several zeroes in it when you are such a priceless child of God!

Halloween with Ever

#princess2015la was so excited to get her Halloween presents from @leo.and.nico, three yo genius twins being raised by @nikkidoodledo and her hubby, Jake. Why genius, Nico can decipher numerical patterns so adeptly while Leo can read exit even then at 2yo. Amazing how they are immersed in art, nature, art projects, music, assembling challenging build projects and reading books, 50 a week, meticulously selected by their mom.

C quickly got into project mode and made 4 bracelets.

She even took my photo and then said, “Grandma, may I tell you something when I was 4 years old?” She relates a bullying incident by one of her playmates in graphic details. She describes the sassy attitude with factual details and how her playmate was disciplined by her dad. She concludes with an observation, “Grandma, she told me she wants to be me, when she can just be herself. How sad, right?”

Ay, she is truly my heart and soul’s delight!

Squirrel

What greeted me – I heard a loud noise and it was this squirrel. He even posed for me.I love reading this book. Thank you Rebecca Asedillo for your post, it influenced me to buy it. It elevates my consciousness on what to look for in homilies. During this pandemic, I am very grateful for the homilies of Pope Francis, when he celebrated daily masses at Casa Martha, to Fr. Randy Jasper Odchigue of Lourdes Chapel in Butuan City which I made sure not to miss, as the Pope’s; to Bishop Marc Trudeau, Fr. John Cordero and Fr. Joachim Ablanida of Holy Family Catholic Church, Artesia. It was and still is truly my daily bread, to attend mass, listen to good, great, inspiring, probing, challenging homilies. I can no longer listen to homilies that don’t respect parishioners when the celebrant is re-reading the words of the gospel, with no reflections, research or context, nor relevant. Thank you to these diligent, holy and conscientious servants of God!And thank you to former pastors of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church Fr. Rodel G.Balagtas and Fr. Camilo Pacanza and their visiting priests from Chicago, Philippines during Simbang Gabi who were great preachers as well: Anthony Q. Carreon, Kenneth Masong and Fr. John Vinuya Era CM. I really miss what you all provided, a joyful, highly spirited, sacred and meaningful Christmas masses.
