Crash Landing On You

I am so grateful for Crash Landing On You for keeping me sane. I am on Season 2 savoring the dialogues. On Season 3, I will harvest the good family values of love, empowerment, guidance and protection.

Today, my high school teacher, an upbeat person who sees God’s light in all texted me to say the celery juice is helping her. I am so happy to hear my 24th celery juice recruit now. #celeryjuicebenefits #celeryjuiceheals#medicalmediumcommunity #medicalmedium #anthonywilliam – my gratitude to you. My book on celery juicing has travelled from my cousin’s house in Virginia to my cousin in Florida. I asked my beloved cousins in Virginia to read it and now, I pray my cousin in Florida does.

Here’s the other good news – around Christmas – my upbeat god mother in her nineties in Alabama shared sweetly that she is reading my book Even The Rainbow Has A Body and it sits on her bedside table. I asked how she is doing. She said her leg was inflamed and she could not walk. I talked to her about juicing celery, sent her the juicer and messaged her son in Los Angeles to help her assemble it. I called her again after Christmas and asked her to live until a hundred. She sweetly said, “Guess who is in my heart today?” I responded, “Who?”

She said, “You,” and I smiled so much, and in my worried ask, ” Can you promise me you will live till a hundred? She confidently said, “That, I can do.” We exchanged our I love yous. I just love dear Clemmye. She used to be my supervisor at work and became my godmother in marriage. She listened to my stories daily. After sometime, she told me I was in love with my hubby, then, just a person in my mind all the time, analyzing what I liked about him.

There is reason for healthy living – sun is out, I saw my handsome son this morning, at a distance, and yesterday my beautiful daughter and #princess2015la delivering our take out. #familyislove #Godislove.

Now, craving for fresh, artisan ramen!! The way Captain Ri made it. Next destination for travel in 2021 – Camino De santiago and South Korea and maybe by then a reconciled Republic of Korea, including its northern neighbor.

#crashlandingonyou – Thank you for doing it so well!!

Crash Landing On You

Orange Blossoms

First, I am still a river of tears, each time I attend the livestreamed mass at 1215 noon at Holy Family Catholic Church, Artesia and right after, a rosary, at the request of Pope Francis. March 19 is St. Joseph’s Feast, and Fr. John Cordero’s beautiful homily exhorted us to follow St. Joseph’s example who was secretly contemplating to divorce Mary when she got pregnant. Instead, the angel appeared to tell him, wait and follow God’s guidance. He waited, reflected, then received God’s guidance and protected the Holy Family. He told us in our unique situation today to also pause, reflect and witness God’s hand in our lives.

March 19 – 292 of us attended the livestreamed, while 444 of us prayed the rosary together. March 18 – 143 of us watched the mass and day before that, 94 of us. Yes, the pews are empty. But more and more are joining Facebook live. Thank you to the IT folks of Holy Family in Artesia and Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg for inventing this social cyberspace tool.

March 20, 2020’s homily is on “Pure Love for others and the common good.” Let us stay home because we want to protect each other. Look after the common good and beyond our own needs. Live of neighbor surpasses and is greater than masses daily and more than the live fires of burnt offerings. Love is actively sacrificing for others. Today, 255 of us attended the mass.

Second, I joined the rosary with Lourdes folks, 2,500 of us praying together.

Third, my sweet favorite daughter included us in her lunch special purchase and included our sweet octogenarian neighbor, Larry who sweetly shared his salmon dinner, our treat for his goodness, with another neighbor, Bonnie. How sweet it is to thread these acts of kindness. Today, it is salad with macaroni meat sauce for just $10. These restaurants are not making profits at all. They just want to keep us alive.

Fourth, it broke my heart to not be able to hug my 5 year old granddaughter and she left quite sad that she could not come inside our house. How do you explain the invisible lurking Grim Ripper? I had to tell her “hug tight in the air,” and blew kisses to her while I told her loudly, we love you very much. I sign off my phone calls now with I love you very much!

Who knows what tomorrow brings but, like my other Mother said, Maura Brito, “God is stronger than this Coronavirus. I told her to stay home for 2 Saturdays and I will mail her check just the same. She said no, “We are in this together and we will live within our means.” I am pretty lucky to be surrounded by intrinsically morally good, luminous folks.

Fifth, I tuned in to the Q and A of Mark Zuckerberg with the credible and trusted Dr. Fauci. I learned that several cures are awaiting approvals of FDA. Mark asked why wait for these safety studies – why not give it to folks now? Dr. Fauci responded about how the treatment cannot be harmful and cause death or replication of the virus. We cannot simply give a drug like experimental drugs for HIV which ended up killing more people. He did say the vaccine has been tested on a healthy human being, we are awaiting results and safety studies but to ramp up that production will take a year and a half.

Sixth, I always look forward to a good doctor’s text to me at midnight, after her shift. She texted me that a patient is being intubated and got the anti malarial drug treatment. Let’s all pray that young individual lives to tell us his experience and that the drug works for him. A Hawaii Five O actor contracted Coronavirus, is isolating himself, but has very minimal symptoms. Lesson – if you are fit and healthy, you suffer less. But, he needs to self-isolate to protect others from not getting it.

Seventh, I caught the bees pollinating our orange blossoms, the fragrant white flowers.

And to keep my heart open, still talking to family via phone calls. Today, I realize, this Easter 2020, we will all see God’s worldwide miracles – we all need to be more humane, stop the endless wars, vote those moral folks into public office and kick out immoral leaders occupying spaces in public, private and even church institutions. It is so comforting to see Holy priests like Fr. Rodel G.Balagtas and Pilgrimage Group of Father John Cordero stay Holy and optimistic about God’s healing powers, Mama Mary’s intercession and our global recovery and survival from #CoronaVirus

The rainbows are all over us, showing up in Monrovia yesterday and even Christine Anne Ho has been catching those images.

I love you all. #WewillSurvive by #Lovingkindness just like my favorite son and daughter are modeling their finest examples of critical loving care. Oh God, if you take me with this disease, please let it be in my sleep.

Max and Lucy

Max and Lucy

Folks, bright rays of sunshine for me yesterday: First, I attended the entire livestreamed mass at Holy Family in Artesia led by Fr. John Cordero. Mass was attended by lector, altar server and few helping with livestream. Church pews were empty. Yes, it was empty, but 99 folks were viewing it. I implore those 99 also donate to their church in Artesia. I felt hopeful and closer to Mama Mary and my God.

Second, hubby and I are sharing not just our bed, but our discoveries reading, our woes, our facetime with our apo, a really tight solidified bonding. Nakakaiyak!

Third, I read Fr. Rodel G.Balagtas’s hopeful message that he is praying for all of us, full of heartfelt concern for us but also sharing to us to be closer to Mama Mary, God and join him in his daily mass, livestreamed from Incarnation Church in Glendale’s chapel at 5:30pm. Please, any extra dollars you have – help this church.

Fourth, I got my food delivery not because I had to, but I worried about the uber drivers and about the nearby restaurants.

Fifth, I got to watch a 5 minutes glimpse of Dr. Patrick Soon -Shiong, CEO of Nantworks and trusted doctor of Kobe Bryant and owner of trusted LA Times. He calmly and eloquently explained the Science behind Coronavirus and how globally scientists are working on four ways of attacking this virus and preventing it from attaching to ACE receptors, slowing the virus factiry, its packaging and the virus itself. Folks, this virus can only be defeated by scientists, our public cooperation to stay home, our good hygiene and God centering in all of our lives. Billionaires are not spared, no one is spared, we can only be truthful, honest, cooperate and collaborate to save the globe.

Sixth, this is my best news for the day – my credible credible source who I trust and who trusts me texted me midnight, after her shift of caring for life and death situations in the hospital and treating patients.

“I’m also taking Vit C to keep my immunity strong. There is no definite treatment for this virus though there are evidence about good results with chloroquine( drug for malaria) Antivirals – remdesivir , some hiv drugs. Mortality is less than SARS and MERSCO. But very contagious. We are lockdown starting today until April 7 except health care workers. Thanks for thinking of us here you take care too.”

My dear, dear Facebook friends, relish this time. We don’t need Microban to wipe surfaces, we simply need to wipe down with diluted 70% alcohol or even diluted vodka, 49%, or simply soap and water. Shower and take a bath. Wash clothes. Practice good hygiene and basic sanitation. We have to practice good distance of six feet. We have to stay distant until the vaccine is available at kiosks.

We simply need to relish this time with God, Mama Mary, our sweet neighbors like my octogenarian Larry, and keep on smiling and praying the rosary. My heart sunk when I found out Lourdes in France shut down their Lourdes pilgrimage site – this site has never closed but, all these rays of light are pouring in. Really, see them with your faith and divine eyes!!

We will all prevail – let’s fill up the livestreamed mass with our presence and pray scientists find the vaccine, several manufacturers ramp up the production and that we all love one another much more than before.

I had a craving for ensaymadas and without telling my dear sweet neighbor, he bought me one at Republique. That to me was God as Larry is Caucasian and I did not tell him about my crazy cravings. Then, with a phone call, my dear adopted sons Miko Zuñiga and Don Martin Sagarbarria are in the business of making the best, absolutely the best to my palate and my apo – ensaymadas, round, dainty but with the highest flavor profiles and moist. They are mailing it to me and I paid by credit card. I will share with all my sweet neighbors of mine, my family of course. I felt good helping these small businesses and tipping Uber Eats.

It arrived Thursday, March 19, 2020, via UPS and my oh my, my neighbors will be happy to have some for breakfast.

My hubby asked the question – “What will you do to help flatten the curve?” To me, it is whom will you love more today? At 830pm, we all facetimed with our granddaughter and she was so happy after having facetimed with all her family members. She was tired and would go to bed, after working on a school day’s agenda at home, with her loving parents. She said, “Grandma, after I talked to you, I will call Uncle Carlo.” I said, “Yes, he will like that. See me give you tight tight tight hugs.” Hubby said, “I am sorry I cannot do math. I enjoy doing math games with you.”

It was several rays of the rainbow folks. I share my love to you all!!

By Fall 2020, we will be blessed with a new President and America’s lost soul will be back! We will all celebrate Simbang Gabi, 9 days of novena masses before Christmas. -Prosy Delacruz, March 17, 2020, the death anniversary of my beloved mom, a science teacher. I talked to her showering and asked her to talk to God for a cure.

Even the Rainbow Has A Body, said NVM Gonzalez and I captured his statement as my first book title. Thank you for reading this and please share widely.

Crash Landing On You

41 Years

41 years ago, when we exchanged our vows in January. My dad was perhaps the happiest of all. Fortunately, we defied the odds against us and persisted to love, to honor, to fight, to struggle, to forgive, to have fun, to dialogue, to depend on each other and to commit to one another every year. #myforevervalentine

My #princess2015la asked when we got married so I shared her the wedding album.

One Soul at a Time

I love seeing moms and dads who care and love their babies so deeply, they infuse them with a kind of love that penetrates the heartstrings of their beings. When their children grow up, they are loving, trustworthy, kind, and compassionate and pursue their artistic interests and fruits of their imagination. Parents, you can change the world by how you nurture your children.

Fathers are responsible for the self-esteem of their girls, while mothers make them loving, when girls see how moms behave in the world. If you are into yourselves first, your daughters mimic what you do, cling to you to get their needs met.

The reverse is true – invest in them your quality attention, allow them to revel you with their explorations during play and movement and they grow to be more decisive, independent and interested in life.

“One soul at a time, we change the world.”

“When you have steadfast values of living a life for others, you know what to do.”

#princess2015la did this artwork at her school. She told me I am the chocolate swirled ice cream on a cone and she is the ice cream sundae. Awww…now it hangs in my fireplace as her smile warms my heart.

Crash Landing On You

Santa Maria de la Paz Church

Santa Maria de la Paz Church 11 College Ave. Santa Fe, New Mexico 87508

I cannot believe I am here. Fr. Joel handed out invitations to his 10th sacerdotal anniversary, 8 years as a seminarian, while in Spain. I instinctively made plane and hotel arrangements and all were sold out in Albuquerque.

Not realizing his church is in Santa Fe, I tried hotels in Santa Fe and got one of the five rooms left. Good sign. Then, in doing the airline travel reservations, I lucked out again.

So here I am, excited to meet a community that is treated by Fr. Joel as an individual, how he treats each one with caring respect, careful listening and makes time for each one to make sure each one is okay, like a precious, worthy human being.

So like the way he treats us, I want my story about him to reflect the care and respect he gives to each one. He keeps giving, like a ride from my inn to a dinner in a genuine Adobe Santa Fe mansion with a dozen Filipinos, the core of his support network in Santa Fe.

Excited to be here at a place higher than Denver, no wonder I cannot breathe. It is 7,199 feet high.
